Loyalty

Loyalty that pays out real money.

Most loyalty tools hand out points that mean nothing. Flowesce loyalty earns actual in-store credit the client can spend on anything, and it earns from the visits they already make. Pick a points program or a stamp card, set how it earns, and it runs itself.

For the salon that wants its regulars to keep coming back without a paid plan or a punch card in a wallet. Free to join, earns on every visit, and the reward is money they can actually use.

Points or stamps. You pick the shape.

Run a points program where a client earns a point per dollar and redeems at a tier you set, or run a stamp card where every Nth visit of a service is free. Both are free to join, both earn automatically, and both pay out in in-store credit rather than a number that only lives in your software.

  • Points, redeemed at tiers you set.

Earn one point per dollar spent, then redeem at the thresholds you choose. Hit 800 points, mint a $20 credit reward.

  • Stamp cards, for the simple promise.

Every tenth blow-dry free, or whatever cadence fits your shop. The card fills as they visit and the reward unlocks itself.

  • Free to join, always.

Loyalty costs the client nothing. It rewards the visits they would make anyway, which is exactly what brings them back.

  • Growth tier, no processor required.

Loyalty lives on Growth. It never charges anyone, so there is no payment processor in the loop at all. It only ever mints credit.

The reward is credit, not vanity points.

This is the part that matters. When a client redeems a tier, Flowesce mints real in-store credit through the same ledger the rest of the app uses, recorded as a loyalty reward. That credit spends on any service or any retail item, at the chair or at the desk, exactly like credit they bought or were comped. Points that buy nothing are not loyalty.

It earns on its own, from real activity.

You do not hand out points by hand. A completed appointment earns, and a Quick Sale for a walk-in or a retail item earns. The balance updates the moment the visit is done, so the client always sees a number that reflects what they have actually spent with you.

  • Completed appointments earn.

When an appointment is marked complete, the visit earns points or a stamp automatically. Nothing to remember at the desk.

  • Quick Sales earn too.

A walk-in service or a retail sale through Quick Sale earns on the same rules, so loyalty covers everyone who spends with you, not just the booked appointments.

  • The balance is always live.

Earn lands the instant the sale or appointment closes. The client card and the portal both show the current balance, no nightly catch-up.

  • Redeeming mints credit in one move.

Pick a tier on the client's loyalty card, and the reward writes straight into the in-store credit ledger, ready to spend at the next checkout.

Expiry, your call. Three honest options.

Decide whether points last forever or burn off. Choose none and they never expire. Choose inactivity and the clock resets every time the client earns, so an active regular never loses a thing. Choose fixed-from-earn and each batch expires a set time after it was earned. A daily job sweeps anything past its date so the balance you see is always real.

  • None: points never expire.

The simplest promise. What a client earns stays earned until they spend it. Good for relationship-driven shops.

  • Inactivity: a rolling window.

Points expire only after a quiet stretch, and every new earn resets the clock. It nudges lapsed clients without punishing your regulars.

  • Fixed-from-earn: a set shelf life.

Each batch of points expires a set time after it was earned, drained oldest-first so nothing lingers past its date.

  • A daily sweep keeps it honest.

A background job clears expired points every day, so the number on the client card is never inflated by points that should be gone.

05/

Visible where it counts, quiet everywhere else.

Configure the whole program at the loyalty page in your admin. A loyalty card sits on the client page right beside the membership card, showing the points balance with a redeem picker or the stamp progress. The client sees a read-only balance in their account portal. No new screens to learn, and nothing for the front desk to operate by hand.

Common questions

Honest answers, including the ones we don't love.

How is loyalty different from a membership?

Loyalty is free to join and earns in-store credit from visits a client already makes. A membership is a paid plan a client subscribes to for credits and a discount. Many salons run both: loyalty to reward everyone, memberships to lock in the regulars.

What does a redeemed reward actually become?

Real in-store credit. Redeeming a tier mints a loyalty reward through the same credit ledger the rest of Flowesce uses, so the client spends it on any service or retail item at their next checkout. It is money on account, not a point balance stranded in a separate place.

Do I have to give out points manually?

No. Points and stamps earn automatically on completed appointments and on Quick Sales for walk-ins and retail. The balance updates the moment the visit closes, with nothing for the front desk to tap.

Are there limits I should know about in this version?

Yes, two honest ones. Appointment earning uses the headline service price today, so add-on retail on the same appointment and discount-netting are a fast-follow. It never over-earns. And a stamp-card reward is not clawed back if the appointment that triggered it is cancelled later. Everything else, points and all three expiry modes, runs as described.

Does loyalty involve a payment processor?

Not at all. Loyalty only ever mints in-store credit, it never charges anyone, so there is no Stripe or card processor in the loop. That is also why it works the same in every region Flowesce serves.
